Here we outline the types of engagement regulated entities can expect.
Consultation
Before making a media service code or media service rule, Comisiún na Meán will make a draft available for inspection. Broadcasters and media service providers may make submissions in relation to the draft within the period specified which will be considered by us in finalising the draft media service code or media service rule.
Complaints
Coimisiún na Meán will notify a broadcaster or media service provider that it has received a validated complaint that there has been an alleged contravention of statutory or regulatory standards and of our decision in relation to that complaint.
Guidance
From time to time we may publish guidance in relation to a media service code, a media service rule, or processes and procedures in relation to the exercise of our regulatory remit.
